ok, i have enough evidence to prove that Vernon Kay is not a DJ:

1) Theres always big gaps inbetween speech and records - no other R1 DJs do that
2) The Webcam is always 'unavailable' during his shows
3)...well that's it but i think you get the picture....

anyone else agree?

I cant make up my mind... I think hes live on a Saturday as there is loads of listener interaction and the webcam is normally on. Sundays however...I dunno. It just seems a little strange that hes on T4 at the same time and they are both supposed to be "live"!?

Didn't Moyles imply a week or two ago that his Sunday radio show was live and T4 was recorded?

How does this make him a 'Fake Dj' ? Even if Sundays are pre-recorded and he sometimes leaves a gap. I say sometimes as what i heard this morning he was singing over the end of records, so there wasn't a gap then.'

Vernon's been good recently. Vernons definately live both days. He was going on about listeners feedback this morning aswell.

Sunday's probably a prerecord, but there's nothing stopping him putting the records into the pre-record.

i spoke to a radio one moderator from the chart chat room this afternoon. he says vernon is live on both saturdays and sundays and that there was a problem with the webcam this morning so thats why it didnt display...

Webcam was on last Sunday. He has missed one Sunday show and that was when Pop beach was on.

It was. Vernon is sounding very good now (in my opinion).

In fact Radio One is definitely sounding better as a station at the moment (playlist aside). New nightly and weekend schedules, good signings in JK and Joel, Scott Mills now on finally in the afternoons...plus of course Chris in the mornings. Hopefully the RAJAR results for the whole station will be positive next time around...

Vernon fever is sweeping the UK atm I've noticed:

hes on radio 1 sat&sun,hes on itv 1 every saturday evening,hes on t4,hes on that dorito's ad oh and not forgetting headjam on bbc 2 every weekday
