Now I know I can be a little phlegmatic sometimes but I was about to congratulate uglybob on a commendable spoof web-site. Only when I came back to the thread, I find that I can not do that, as it appears to be an “authentic” site. I am bewildered, astonished and a petite bit aghast, surely this IONICSTORM requires some mental help.

As for saying, “he should be allowed to put whatever he wants on his site”, that is true to a certain extent. However, he does not give us a good argument for freedom of speech. Personally, I would like to see some equitable and pragmatic censorship on the net, perhaps not of this guys web-site, either way the aphorism “he's not bothering anyone!” is not a qualified one to advocate.

I surmise that this person is not at all well. I have never liked intimate home pages such as ones like this. From what I can gather and all joking aside he sounds like he could be a wee bit unsafe.

I spent a large amount of my first couple of years at Colonial supporting the field staff laptops. After working with the company for about a year, I started to show an interest in the Meridian 1 telephone switch which is used by the company, that is when my real interest in telecommunications started. I was taught most of the basic administration and maintenance of the switch from Keith Meekcoms the guy who was doing the job at the time.

My interest in telecommunications was further increased by my acquisition of an SDX 40/40E PABX from Colonial's Ingatestone Branch when it closed all of it's UK branches in 1998. I now have this installed in my home, which has left me open for ridicule by many people that can't understand how you can have a fully fledged SDX switch in a 2 bedroom flat

Katy is on the internet and uses ICQ and Yahoo chat, among other things to communicate with friends etc. This is an area of the Internet that I had never before got involved in, but I took the plunge and met lots of new friends via ICQ. Katy enjoys a good laugh, is a good listener and has a great sense of humour to boot.

Also we are both into Radio in a big way. Katy has her own virtual radio station at home as indeed I did once, I have also done a couple of joint programmes with Katy on her own one (Crazy FM) which have been sent out to the posse (more about that later). Also Katy has a vast library archive of deddies, requests and clips from various radio programmes. This is also something that I do and have done in the past, the only difference, Katy is 100% more organised that I am. She could probably lay her hands on a desired clip within minutes, it would take me weeks and probably several trips to my parents to hunt through the mounds of stuff that I still have there! Katy has even had a live programme broadcast from her house when she won a competition on MFM.
