Hmm seems the only ones that have endured all the way through the 90s from start to finish to still be made(after 2000,anyways) are Red Dwarf (movie in making and possible series 9 after that) and Only Fools and Horses (despite every xmas special being the 'last ever').

They're the only ones I can think of at the moment. Fast Show was a comedy classic of the 90s too though.

Anyone wanna tell me who the woman in that picture is? She seems familiar, but I'm sure I've never seen that program...

DemonHorse wrote:Red Dwarf. I know that technically started in 1988 but it has had great success, a testament to which is the fact that EIGHT series have been made, and a film is in the works. How many british sitcoms (or even dumb yank ones) can say that?

and Phoenix Nights (and to a lesser extent That Peter Kay Thing, though that evolved into Phoenix Nights really).

Both of these are every bit as funny as The Office IMO.

I agree m8, but i think it's one of those north/south divide things though :)

Yeah could be I guess. Being right in the middle and having sampled the delights of both, guess makes my tastes more general.

I think he mean't in terms of finding them funny. you may find this hard to believe but not everyone finds me funny.

I call them f*ckwits... the newspapers call them the general public.

tho if its there, Only Fools and Horses would be immune to it, popular all over, even though it's very much set right in the middle of London(well, peckham but you see what I mean :P ).
There must be other exceptions like this?

HAHA, Keith's monotonous voice is what gets me.. Sooo funny, when he makes his answer phone message before the training starts.. hahahaha I love the office, quality stuff..

Incidently - Kellogs are giving away a DVD of Series 2 Episode 2 in big packs of Cornflakes!

You've probably heard highlights of it in the Phoenix Nights remix sound montage Chris used to play (Garlic Bread, you're twisting my melon man.. etc). My personal fave so far is the pub quiz one.

Quizmaster: "Name all of the Magnificent Seven"
Bouncer (Baz?)"right! Dopey, Sneezy..."

Class
