Does anyone know how much the BBC makes from each text message sent to 81199?

After it's initial conception on television, I suppose it was inevitable that this form of money generator would move on to the radio.

It seems such a money making scam its untrue... Every single show on "BBC daytime radio" has it going on.

Moyles is by far, the worst revenue generator there is…. Each 3 hour show must have at least 4-6 "text now" requests.

Has he been set targets by senior management?

Non.... It costs your standard rate, of which the BBC gets nada.

so Topher gave you the answer you were looking for... its as if your texting a mate (mabey i should presume you dont have any)... its as if your texting your mum.....

The BBC does not add any additional charge to your text.
