Shame really, he was a good part of Socce Saturday. Everyone else is a bit of a drip on there. He was the only one who'd ever stick his neck out and say what he thought.

He's no Ron Atkinson, although I agree it's a bit of an unneccessary joke, but sacked? That's harsh!

I wouldn't condone people to make jokes about it, but it's not like he was poking the fun at the victims or anything, that would be the only way I could see it being a sacking offence, he should at least be given the chance to apologise!

I agree. Various and numerous members of the royal family make far more offensive gaffes (but I don't consider Prince Harry's recent one among them, it was a fancy dress outfit for f**ks sake...) and they get away with just making a public apology.

If the public had taken the same approach to the royals as sky have to this guy, there would hardly be a royal family left. As always it seems its one rule for them, and one for everyone else.
