It was v funny if you like stuff like South Park only sicker. The puppet sex scene was my fave. If you like grown up film which have great educational value avoid :)

That's just it - puppets - not keen, seemed like a feature length Thunderbirds to be honest. South Park was good for about the first half of the first series.

Grown up films? Me? This is someone who ordered Superted on DVD the other day...

Wow, thanks for that Topher. I had no idea Superted was available on DVD. Just ordered myself a copy too. It's only £5.99 delivered on Play.com, can't complain at that. Found it slightly cheaper on amazon but they are quoting 1-2 weeks for delivery. This is great news as I loved Superted and I am off work with two sprains to joints in my lower spine at the moment and am extremely bored.

Superted was cool. Thunderbirds was NOT funny at all! I usually hate puppet stuff but Team America is completly different. Honestly go see it!

To be honest I'm not sure.... it was so badly made that my guess is that they were doing it for a laugh.

It looks so badly made NOW, (according to you, I think it has aged quite well really, Team America advanced brought puppet technology too much more really, whether it was trying to or not) but it was high technology back THEN, i.e. In the SIXTIES. Weren't even that many shows in colour in the early sixties for f**ks sake.

Think about it this way: In 40-50 years, stuff like Matrix and Shrek will 'look crap', but it's not because they're badly made, is it?.

and for the record there are 2 (count 'em) Thunderbirds feature films (check ImDb.com if ya don't believe me, lol).

I saw that at the Derngate theatre in Northampton. It's another DVD I was thinking of getting, but went for Stoppit and Tidyup instead. We need to stop talking about this now cos we're getting into that "frequently discussed subjects" area.

surely it's the fact that it is puppets that makes it funnier? Part of the joke and just one more thing on the list of things it's taking the p**s out of.

Okay finally got to see the whole film last night, and it was bloody ace... though I swear I've heard the montage thing before... Funniest thing I have seen in ages, only stopped laughing a few times.

and me mates girlfriend who came to see it with us was bored by it... no-one else in the cinema was, just her  no sense of humour.

I could only see one technical advance in the puppets themselves since the days of Thunderbirds etc, the heads were more like the Terrahawks puppets, the whole jaw moved instead of just the lip.

Me thinks I will be buying the soundtrack soon.
