I like shopping, drinking, salsa dancing, some computer games ie sims, travelling and erm more drinking :)

Have no interest in football. I'd actually like to ban it in Glasgow cause it causes so much trouble and intolerance.

It isn't football that causes it though. Its ignorant people.

Yes but in Glasgow football matches seem to be the breeding ground for all this ignorance especially with Rangers and Celtic. For instance usually you can tell by what team someone supports what religion they are. Football strips are like a uniform for some people and it causes a lot of religious tension and hatred here.

My ex boyfriend was english and he was shocked that you aren't allowed to wear football colors in Glasgow pubs/clubs when he 1st came here but it really is that bad that if you walk into the wrong pub with a Rangers/Celtic strip you are CERTAIN to cause trouble as there will always be someone who gets offended and takes issue with whatever team you support.

That's taking it to an extreme that is, frankly, a bit pathetic. Can't people just accept that it's a sport, it's there for enjoyment.

The worst case (that I have heard of) was that Columbian player who scored an own goal or played crap or something in the world cup, then he was murdered for it. How the f*ck do these people deal with serious issues if this is how they deal with trivial ones, because they are trivial when you think about it.

but football isn't the cause. if someone smokes at a football ground it isn't the football that drove them to it (although at Everton....).

I don't totally agree with that - I'd say it's a mix of ignorant people and the passion that football brings out in people - not that being passionate about something is a bad thing, but there is always an extreme.

but with the football hooligans they just use football as a excuse for violence real fans go for the game
