Not like any teams/competitors in other sports go a whole season without losing is it..... (which BTW, Ferrari/Schumacher haven't done yet)

It is predictable. I was a huge F1 fan up to around 1998. I know Hakkinen won a couple after that, but since then it's all been Schumacher and it's boring to watch the same people winning. Fair enough they haven't gone the whole season winning every race, but it is rare that they slip up, give me the BTCC any day (although I haven't seen that for a while either.)

My point is people say that it is and get sick of it, but Arsenal can have a huge unbeaten run in football and actually be CELEBRATED.

The word hypocrite comes to mind, or possibly (but very tenuously) racism (i.e. it 'wouldn't' be predictable if a british driver and team won all the time, but it is because its a german driver and an italian team)

and Hakkinen just got lucky off Schumacher stalling on the grid in the final race in 98 and breaking his leg in 99.

I know what ya mean, I was using to make my point. I personally can't see what's so great about it, if i want to watch it, I'll go see a pub team, not a bunch of overpaid ponces.

Looks like I'm off to Greece at some point over the summer (dunno what part, not booked yet) 8)

and then a couple of weekend breaks in London with the girlfriend and to see the rellies.

All sounds good to me.

But in football, cricket and rugby, they don't go changing the rules to try and stop the dominant teams from winning and the sport doesn't lose popularity... why the difference then when it comes to F1?

Sure it does... anything for a break, no.

I'm off to London to see Phantom of the Opera in Feb with my Mum (over Valentines day which you'd think my boyfriend would be pleased about but he's actually quite p*issed off). I'm going back to London in March to see that play with Samantha from Sex and the City in it in March and then going sailing in Loch Lomond in May.

No exciting holls abroad for me planned as yet.

Theres still loads of time. I got my flights to Rome for last weekend for £30 on Ryanair and went to stay with my friend. It was such a good weekend and only spent £100 :)

I'm off to New York in March with the wife IF my slipped disc has mended itself. I'll be gutted if I can't go but I think Emily will be more upset as she's not been before and it was for her we're going really.

Anywhow, I'd better be better soon, I've been laying down for nearly three weeks now, not great fun really and I've been told by the hospital and the phsyio that a slipped disc will either take 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months or 6-12 months to rcover from. I'm hoping for the three week option myself.

If you ignore Ferrari (or actually just Schumacher would do), it's actually very exciting.

Schumacher's too good, he should be banned.

Schumacher as a driver, but Ross Brawn behind the scenes as well, whilst I think he's an arse and can't stand the bloke, he's second to none at what he does.

By that logic you should ban the top guys in ANY sport..... not gonna happen, but in F1 they change the rules against them just because they're good??? Name ONE other sport where that has ever been done.

But the rule changes just benefitted Ferrari even more really. I think the driver rotation system is the best plan, that would make things really interesting.
