I use the track listings from Now Thats What I Call Music to see if music for different years are any good. Looking back, 1993 was pretty good as was 2000 but have a look at cd 2 of the new Now out on 20th March. Theres a few duffers in there but its pretty good

Dunno, I do like the fact now that the 3 rugby built guys are now virtually hidden behind a screen while matey with the Alan Smith hair is now the main man. At the start of XFactor they were all equal. Bohemian Rhapsody cover is "interesting"

its the culmination of the end of manufactured groups and the internet buyers are much better at buying quality, that said the first download chart number 1 was a freak incident.
at least the Now managed not to put an elvis song on, i dont think they would pay for it. mcfly song is on it though so like now 12, they will probably give a percentage to comic relief.
