The Yates in MK is always full of under age drinkers - whereas if you go to Yates in Northampton it's the opposite, they're all coffin dodgers.

same here. under age chavs. me and one of my mates didnt get let in a few years ago cos they said we were dressed too casually. we laughed in the doormens face then they let some blatently under age munters in without question. i have to say i hate all doormen

I used to work with the sister of one of the guys who works on the door at Bar Me and Lloyds around here and they're pretty good. Female bouncers are the worst I find.

its rubbish. the most likely place to play the crazy frog dance mix thing. thats the sort of music they play. the stuff you hear on an 18-30 holiday.

You say that though but sometimes they play a good mix - some Green Day I occasionally hear in there, which makes a nice change from poppy dance tunes. Best place in MK for music I reckon is Bar Central, but I'm not sure if it's a chain or just like a one off - other places might not have it.

Do they play that Oasis-Wonderwall/Green Day- Boulevard of broken dreams mash up? First heard that in 1 of the canalside bars in a nicer area of Notts about a month ago, and have to say I liked it, works quite well.

ive not heard of bar central.

portsmouth is generally very good as there are so many student bars and a lot of places that play good music

Don't think I've actually been out at night time in MK since before the American Idiot album came out so I wouldn't know... Haven't heard that actually.

I've heard of it, not actually heard it yet though. It doesn't surprise me that someone did that because it's pretty much the same chords, just that BOBD is a semi-tone lower.
