smokers keep the nhs running with taxs alcohol is more of a drain on the nhs have u ever been to a+e on a friday n saturday night

stitching someone up is cheaper than cancer treatment.

this delusion of smokers paying lots of tax to pay for their treatment is rubbish. you pay tax for everything, if you choose to smoke then tough you cant claim it back when you need treatment ha.

I actually agree with Gaspode in this one. Everyone pays indirect taxes on luxury items and you very rarely get back as much cash as you contribute.

Smoke really doesn't bother me (except for the eating thing) - but I think it should be banned purely for the fact that in years to come people won't know any different - a kind of it's not for us, it's for the next generation type thing.

Noo coz not many people go to pubs, not many people at all.... :roll:

I usually find it's in pubs that the inconsiderate smoking chavs (a minority, but undeniably there) are there blowing smoke right in the faces of passers by, that or on street corners.

Anyone who thinks we're contributing to the dumbing-down of internet forums can shove their stupid opinion up their a$$

i think what hes trying to say was that he only smokes in the pub where loads of people are smoking and his smoke alone wont damage many peoples health
