Calling anyone that uses Cool Edit 2000:

I have had it downloaded for over 30 days now so the Save function has been disabled. I don't really want to buy it because I aint got that much money.
What I'm asking is, does anyone know how to get the save function back another way? If it involves an illegal process (which this post probably will entail), I don't want to try it!

I think that even if you download the program again it still won't work cos it keeps a memory if have used the trial.

There are ways and means to 'crack' programs as any lover of 'audiowarez' will tell you, but I couldn't possibly endorse such behaviour, oh no sireebob.

Yup, you have to register it, which means paying for it and getting a code. If you are going to just use a code illegaly (i.e. not pay for it, but find one on the net or something), then I'd recommend that you ditch CE2000 and go to Cool Edit Pro 2. Costs a lot more if you're gonna buy it, but if you're not then it's a much more powerful package. Depends what you want it for though - if it's only for basic editing, then you're best just sticking with CE2000.

Simple my friend. I have been using a cracked version of this program for years...simply download it from Kazaa. It'll take a while if you aint got cable or adsl, but its well worth it! Just look for "cool edit" and several cracked versions should appear b4 your very eyes!

Cool Edit costs around $300 new and is a copyrighted piece of software and so downloading it for free is obviously illegal
