So Chelsea have won the league, surprise surprise, and are accused of having bought the title(for just over 200m quid no less). Surely its no coincidence that after being bought by a Russian billionare and splashing out on players and a manager that they have suddenly become much better, although Marsille took them to the cleaners with Didier Drogba, who was worth nowhere near 24m quid. And by the way, silly Chelsea fans, you have no chance of winning in the treble sice you got put out of the FA Cup long ago.

Well I must be kidding myself then. I'm just waiting to see if Chelsea can hold on to the title(blackburn Rovers, anyone?). Arsenal and Manchester United will be back in it next year, and hopefully Liverpool will sort themselves out.

Did Chelsea not win the Carling Cup? Therefore they have every chance of winning the treble....although I think Milan will win the Champions League.

ohhhhhh hopefully eh? im on the edge of me seat.

Things have moved on since Blackburn... Chelsea will stay there while Abramovich stays.

Chelsea won the title and frankly its better than united or the rs as you have less knobs round here gloating ignorantly.

Chelsea don't play boring football in all fairnes. They are the second most exciting team to watch this season (after norwich although all goals are at the wrong end). Man Utd bought the title year after year and if Chelsea get rid of Drogba and get a class forward the Champ League is a realistic target next year

I dont support United but that isnt true.

yeah they've spent lots recently (ironically when they haven't won the league) but in the 90's over half the team was usually made up of homegrown players - Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Butt, Gary Neville, Phil Neville etc.

Cant say I particularly mind that Chelsea are champions anyway though. Lampard should be up for world player of the year without any doubt..

A friend asked me what the score would be, I said 1-0 to Liverpool and so he went to the bookies and put the bet on. I think he owes me a pint.

There was a lot of hoofing from Chelsea tonight.

well the hoofing just goes to show how well liverpool defended.

whats going on with smicer and igor biscan being half decent now?

manchester united never bought success in the 90's they had quality talent that came through their youth team. ok they spent a few quid on some players like yorke, cole, sheringham and jaap stam, but most of them were cheap like royston keane, jepsper blomqvist, ronny jhonsen and ole gunnar babyface. now all their homegrown talent is getting old they are losing it and they cant replace them.

Biscan has improved, especially in games when Gerrard is out of the side but Smicer hasnt really figured since coming back from injury

Exactly. Also, with Chelsea out of the Champions League(wehey!) maybe now people will appreciate just how special the Manchester United '99 treble was,

if you finish fourth then you will go in champions league qualifiers. dont think liverpool will beat milan, even if they do i dont think they will be allowed to defend it (a bit stupid but if you win world cup or euro you have to qualify so why any different?) FA have made their descision they are just waiting to see what happens
