Michael Howard has stepped down and Ozzie Osborne has parkinsons. Those were the two headline news stories this afternoon running side by side on my local radio station.

'twas a good result. Hopefully labour'll buck up their ideas now.

And whoever said that taxation isn't helping is clearly talking out of their backside :)

Me neither to be honest. Quite a few hospitals have closed down in the Glasgow area recently but none have opened.

The local MP in my area who has been rubbish for 8 years did her best thing ever yesterday when she turned up to the announcement drunk, tripped on the podium and gave a delia smith style "lets be havin ya speech" despite all her supporters leaving when she lost

round where I am there have been. Point is, do you genuinely think that by reducing taxation and putting the Conservatives into power things would be better?

I don't mind paying higer tax if I think I'm getting more for my money. The tax is higher, yet now we have to pay to go to university, and are soon going to have to pay a lot more. We still have to pay for perscriptions and the price of them rises every year. I don't understand where the money's going.

Fair enough, there maybe more hospitals and more schools now, but there is also a lot more people in the country because of Labour's immigration policies, not that I want to argue that this is a bad thing, but we have had to have more schools and hospitals to cope. And having more people only means more tax for the government, so again - where is it going?

I see little more happening now than I did in the Tory days, and we're paying a hell of a lot more tax. So yes, I do think lower taxes and a Conservative government would be better.

No, thats why we need to get voting for the parties considered smaller and not worthy of government. We need another alternative, because Liberal Democrats don't really stand for anything.
