I saw three films last week; the wedding date, kingdom of heaven and xxx2. I thought the wedding date was a surprisingly good comedy. I thought it was going to be just a male pretty woman and it kinda was but like pretty woman there were a few laughs along the way.

Kingdom of heaven was really good. Girls can oggle Orlando Bloom (he's not my type really but think I'm in the minority) and guys will enjoy the fighting scenes.

XXX2 had some of the worst acting scenes I'd ever seen but it was quite funny.

I'd like to see Monster in law but its not out this week. The Downfall is also pretty good if you don't mind reading subtitles.

It doesn't matter what you go to see as you'll fall asleep about 7 minutes in to it anyway.... ;)

For comedy, action etc, HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy covers pretty well on all fronts. First time I went to see it, there was this girl behind me going "ah this'll be crap" at the start, and then barely stopping laughing all the way through..

best part is it remains faithful to the books at any movie (even if it mixes the order of stuff happening up a bit), but is also great if you've never read them. I know at least 6 people who have gone and got the book (not the movie tie-in edition tho) after seeing the film.

and my non-recommendation has to go to poor-remake-of-great-japanese-horror Ring Two

completely agree that hitch hikers was great, it was so funny, "so long and thanks for all the fish" and so on, got the soundtrack.

The American Ring 2 isnt a remake of the japanese one, it was a whole new story, i kinda liked it, not the halfests of halfs as good as the first one, but it had some cool visuals from time to time. I can deffinately see though why people dont like it.

Bored last night, I decided to watch the Horror channel... It had on it a film called Bloody Murder 2 - I've never seen so much tripe in all my life - guy in a hockey mask goes round killing all the sexually active teenagers at a camp by a lake... Sound familiar? It was alsmost exactly like Friday 13th only worse - at least Jason Vorhees had a fairly menacing name for a killer - the killer in this film was called "Trevor Moorhouse". Crap, don't watch it.
