is that why lesser teams like portsmouth are scared to let two bigger teams join the premiership? I'll admit that the SPL is always going to be between Rangers and Celtic, but when you look at the EPL it is the same teams that are challenging for the title, it is not the best league in europe, it is the most hyped in europe. If you think that it is the best then you are having a laugh!

Shouldn't have Scottish teams in the English league in the same way that Swansea and the other Welsh teams shouldn't be in it. If it's a British league, fair enough - but it's not.

yeah but they are playing in the English leagues. Why cant the old firm join? As much as the English slag the old firm, they run scared when ever the thought of them joining the premiership is mentioned.

because we have enough problems without the bigotry the old firm brings. the old firm would be mid-table sides in this country but they would grow with the extra money. if they want to be in - start in the conference.

i dont think that they should start in the conference, maybe start off with them in the championship. With only two teams outside Arsenal and Man ure winning the premiership since 1992 it could be the revamp that the league needs.

i cant see the old firm joining the prem for a long time. Just pleased that we beat the filth to the title. You never know we could be playing Everton in the CL qualifiers, or will they be seperated for the draw?

i would guess you would be seeded and we won't although I dunno its all too confusing. All I know is the draw is the 29th July so its a while yet.

Yeah not for a while yet. Think we are seeded 13th out of 16. Do Everton have two rounds or just one? If you have two you could get Celtic cos they have to go through two rounds. Glad to see Everton beating Liverpool to 4th spot, will have on my AC top tomorrow hoping Gattuso and Shevchenko get the goals!

think maybe start off with a British cup, see how that goes. Also have the winner of the FA cup verses the winner of the Scottish FA cup. If its a success then see about getting a British league setup.

rangers wont be seeded, itll be based on previous qualifiers and theyve done crap

in recent years they have been crap i'll admit that, but they are seeded for the second round draw. There previous years performances(Dick Advocaat era) has saved them from being unseeded. If we dont make the CL group stage then we will lose our seeding.

Because they are SCOTTISH teams and the Premiership is an ENGLISH league. Ignore Cardiff, Wrexham and Swansea - they shouldn't be allowed in either.

But how is that fair to teams in leagues one and two like mine? If you are so desperate to play in a different country, you must start at the bottom like any new club - even lower than the conference.

That clearly wouldn't work though, as they'd just thrash the pants of any conference team. I wouldn't complain if Rangers and Celtic were allowed to compete in the premiership.
