ahh dont ask me how, but this is my album review track by track of oasis album
1. turn up the sun - average and then it transcends into feedback. i wish bands would stop wasting the last minute songs
2. mucky fingers - imagine if chas and dave did a cover version of the ravonettes song that great love sound. thats what it sounds like. caution it includes a harmonica. noel sings vocals on this one
3. lyla - street fighting man was a cover on all around the world cd so they just thought of regurgitating it again but putting new lyrics on it. itll probably be number 1 and drop like a stone like the singles usually do.
4. love like a bomb - a song shorter than 3 minutes, dont get that often from oasis with exception of songbird. liam gets one of his favourite sneering words in with "shrrrriiiiiiiiiiiinnnne". its all very soft rock and pianos, a little bit keane shockingly. itll probably be a single. they have a thing for track 4 being singles
5. the importance of being idle - noel again signing a bit high like someones twisting his testicles around. very beatles circa 1967, wouldnt feel out of place on sgt peppers lonely hearts club band. the middle part sounds like they got hank marvin guesting.
6. 1 minute 44 of The Meaning Of Soul - you know it sounds like something and its peeing me off cos i cant think of what it is. ahh i got it now, its rolling stones nicking again for the chorus, jumpin jack flash, its a gas gas gas.
7. guess god thinks im abel - damn he doesnt rhyme abel with anything, i was waiting on that too. its another quiet oasis song, ooh its went loud a bit, oh its quiet again. loud for 5 seconds, jumped me unawares that bit.
8. yes noel track 8 again, isnt that 3 albums in a row hes got track 8. Part of the Queue sounds very like Badly Drawn Boy and Once Around the Block in the arrangement. ooh theres a bit of
9. keep the dream alive - ahh now this sounds like oasis whats the story period. i dont know if it is but it sounds like a Liam written song. scrub that, its the charlatans circa 1997, sounds like telling stories
10. a bell will ring - this one is starting promising, bit more coherant this one. this sounds like a single, but i doubt it will as its way down at track 10 and oasis like plucking songs from the start, and dont start to say all around the world was low down, you just knew they were gonna pick it.
11. let there be love - if only it was the cover version. starting off im thinking its stop crying your heart out and im not far wrong. well im a bit wrong as its the opposite in terms of feelings as this is a "happy" song. this is a duet song with noel and liam, taking turns in singing verses. its all very soppy for oasis, oh heres handclaps coming in. this will be a chicks favourite song.
12. i can see it now - its tom petty, no its oasis. this is sorta an instrumental, well it is really, you just hear noel shouting in the feedback i can see it now. oh sounds like a kettle boiling there. the guitar sounds a bit like the start of that amy study song misfit.
subjective you can see, havent done the out of ten thing cos i need a few more listens. its a lot more memorable, noel will more than likely say in the weeks before it is released that its the second best album after definitely maybe. is he right. hmm, whats the story probably is but this album is far better than heathen chemistry.
