Hi,
sorry if this is a random question. But does anyone know where/how i can get songs which DO NOT have the vocal on them?(a bit like the ones that Scott Mills uses as beds). Where they are just the music!

All help much appriciated

sometimes singles have the instrumental on, alternatively there is a certain karoke website which allows you to listen to instrumental tracks (and consequently record them) online. They're not the real thing, but similar. http://www.singtotheworld.com is the site - you have to pay if you want to hear them in full.

Alot of songs on CD (or mp3 for that matter) have the vocal and backing music on channels (left or right), so if you can get a program that can rip just one channel then Bob's your uncle and Fanny's your aunt.

If you use windows try CoolEdit, if linux use audacity and if Mac then go ask someone else.

Hello,

You can usually find Instrumental version on the Internet. Although sometimes they feature on the album or single that the artist has brought out - Instrment versions of songs are only really given to the Media - i.e: Radio.
