I don't know what people see in "That Peter Kay Thing". Don't get me wrong, I love Pheonix nights and Max & Paddy wasn't that bad, but That Peter Kay thing left me wanting

I thought the Services was good... but you have to consider there may not be Phoenix Nights or Max n Pady without the Peter Kay thing... it was his first programme which featured many of the characters from PN was it not?

True, but that doesn't mean I have to like it though. I don't actually dislike it, I just think it lacks that special something.
