[Gaspode_The_Wonder_Dog]

The first of my soon to be three album reviews and we start with my favourite of the three so it aint getting better folks.

Doves are a band that I never really got into when they started out and it was only because I got their album cheap on ebay that I even listened to it. The reason for this is that I liked their singles but never enough to make me buy an album. If this is how you work then you are missing out on one of the best "album bands" around. As a piece of music their albums work better than any band I can think of rather than a collection of songs it merges together to create an overall mood.

Some Cities starts off brilliant and just maintains that level. To be honest the first six songs are all brilliant, the best three in my opinion being Walk in Fire, Almost Forgot Myself and Snowden. Snowden being a great track for the music alone and the other two being lyrically superb.

I don't have a bad thing to say about any Doves album yet they will never be one of my favourite bands... explain that to me someone.

I currently have at least 16 DVDs, some bought in december, that I have yet to watch.... on the flip side I watched Team America: World Police the day I got it.

Its may fave album of the year. The doves never fail! Even Sub Sub was goood

Got the Bloc Party album the other week, it's pretty good, one of the few albums this year that actually deserved all of the hype it got. Next album I'll get will probably be Kanye West's new one, Late Registration.
