Over a period of time and as a regular listener I get the distinct vibe that our MR Moyles is keen to point out the difference between republicans and those of the north when it comes to talking about Ireland.

Although he could never ever say it, I detect a slight slur on those of the North. His vocal impressions and general comments (over time) have given his politics away.

Dont be a tit. Dont try to read into something which is light hearted. I do brummie accents- its not derogatory, I dont wish that the West Midlands were scrubbed of the face of the earth( however a programme of re-education will be administered under the J-horeich to make them speak in an accent which doesnt sound retarded)

i agree with jon, his brummie accent is not derogatory as it sounds f*ck all like someone from the west midlands.

also throw in the fact the stuttering hoare boy in his 80's chinos, with bad teeth and mandatory infertile hair folicles is in a poor position to degrade most people.

I agree that the brummie accent is very annoying. But I have noticed over time, that it's starting to fade away. It isnt around as much as it used to be (well not where I am at least).

As you're from Wolverhampton, you're not one of those brummies who hates being called a brummy are you?

Brummies and us are VERY different people. We are not Brummies, but we have yet to think of a name. I guess we cant be arsed... too busy at trying to get into the premiership (hopefully, but not a lot of chance. Oh well at least Wolves fans are faithfull)...

but the Wolverhampton people and the people from Birmingham do have very similar (silly) accents. Im not saying you do though. I know to you they might sound very differnt but outsiders would feel very hard pressed to tell them apart.

Yea, i do see what you mean. But around Wolverhampton. We have learned to speak a bit more, well... so everyone can understand. It's usually the grandads around here that keep the accent alive. The younger the people, the weaker the accent.

Which is very lucky for you because, as has already been metioned (I think), this particular accent isn't good for making you look clever!

well, that's alright. Most people don't look too 'clever' on a night out in the pub anyway so you probably just fit in (Well, obviously you do cos you live there anyway)

Holy Mother of God, What a bunch of geeks....

Who on earth mentioned brummies and their silly, dumb sounding accent...

Back to my original point, he's a republican with his politics. His comments over the years have given him away.

So whats the big deal fools. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

I don't know, teenagers these days... there so touchy....

Wolverhampton is in Birmingham, therefore I deduce that people from Wolves are Brummies.

It’s obvious that I’m right and your either scared of politics or you just don’t know the man.

Hence the reason for the thread being moved.

Dress it up anyway you want, I don’t need to quote the man verbatim
