What a shambles, the team needs a major sorting out:

1. David James should be dropped immediately!

2. make Paul Robinson the number 1 and Chris Kirkland the number 2

3. Stuart Downing should take Joe "no neck" Cole's place

4. a holding midfielder is needed to play in front of the defence. They would replace Gerrard or Lampard, they are too similar and sort of cancel each other out. Michael Carrick would be a good bet.

5. a manager with some balls wouldn't go a miss.

well i guess i care about the team i watch every week home and away more than an england friendly against denmark where we know there will be multiple substitutions and beckham trying to be captain fantastic.

obviously i do want us to do well and hope we win our qualifiers, but i think as an england fan i know that we are better than most but just not quite good enough to win a world cup.

He was indeed, If he hadn't been sold he would have linked up well with Phil Neville.

i like arteta and cahill, and with graveson that would have been good. not so sure about carsley. i used to like steve watson but hes gone to wba now. i dont know why. maybe because he looks like the bloke off of coronation street.

That is true. For the rest of the goals the non-existing defence were more to blame than him, apart from Ashley Colewho slightly made an effort. Rooney seems to be the only player that came away from that match with a bit of praise, a lot of the players reamined pretty anonynous in the 2nd half.
