Did anyone see the latest drivel churned out by channel 4 in the form of "teenage kicks"? If so you would have seen the two idiots named Jess and jules the "14 year old virgins". Now dont get me wrong people should have the right to sexual freedom, but watching these people eat a meal was like watching a monkeys tea party. The guy couldnt open open a bottle of wine while the girl was having trouble actually getting the food of her plate and into her mouth. And as for looks, if these people were to have a child the midwife would shout "put it back". These people shouldnt be allowed to leave the house alone let alone make the future of our nation.

I didn't realise they were 14, I actually thought they were about 18, which is why they were making such a big deal out of the fact it was their anniversary (which anniversary?) and they hadn't had sex yet.

i found the programme very interesting and yes- it was about sex- okay maybe nothing remotely like a porn film or sex tips for girls (which is a barrel of laughs) channel 4 do not bring out drivel at all. how old are you, benjo? okay- the girl was nice and yes i felt sorry for her. she would of done wonders if the bloke had given her something other then chopsticks.

losing your virgin status is a big thing to some people. the bloke wanted to make it special. get her drunk on cheapo wine that his dad got him from the offy and then bone her later in his single bed. she's not ready to have sex. damn bloody right- she's only 14... talk about rushing things.

I agree totaly with kendra, this program sounds interesting but rather disturbing. There are more than just social reasons for not have sex under the age of 16, there are medical reasons also, specificaly about young girls getting pregnant. Its not the same for everyone but I personaly think this a good law.

I dont consider myself old fashioned, but underage sex is just wrong imoso.

Surely the concern has to be why people of a young age are going out and getting laid, drinking and doing drugs?

i think culture is pushing kids into growing up faster, hence britney spears is still "a virgin" and a role model for 10 year old girls who will be "virgins" like her.

i didn't do drugs because i was in the us, or in california, i did them because i had problems. there are 13 year old drug addicts everywhere... it's very sad.

Yeah once again I totaly agree, perhaps to keep this thread on topic and rellevant to Moyles, should it be discussed about whether or not Chris does enough/not enough/nothing at all in discouraging this kind of behaviour in teanages. I would like to see him combine some nice moralistic views along with comedy.

For instance, the big man would be great talking about this Teenage Kicks program, and ripping into the little blighters. A nice long rant taking the piss out of them and verbaly degrading them to mush would perhaps be a good little segment. Of course Chris has to be "cool" etc and not have morals such Ms Spears like "oh im so pretty, I wont have sex till I marry because its gods will", yeah right what crap. Anyway, you get the idea I hope!!!

As Kendra says, people do drugs (a lot of the time) because they have problems.

Ripping the shit out of people in that situation might be counter-productive, and could actually make matters worse. Of course, it could make people see sense but I would have thought you'd have to be very careful...

Besides, the BBC tackling issues like that in the early afternoon, and letting Moyles be the one to do it? Can't see them going for it myself...

What I had in mind was specificaly to do with underage sex, but tackling drugs in the same way could also work. A lot of people do have problems, but I guess helping them out that way wouldnt work. What I had in mind was the people who start doing things because of pier pressure or the image of it, i.e. its cool, when obviously its just plain stupid to take drugs. Someone who has good appeal to teanagers like moyles would be a good person to say so.

There are of course many of reasons for people tacking drugs, and its a quite a complicated issue. I wouldnt want to go into that because its over my head, but I dont know I just see people taking drugs because there friends do and I find it so very wrong. Degrading the image of tacking drugs and having sex at an early age should surely be somthing that is good???

And yes I can see the problems with what I said before, It wasnt that well thought out but Im sticking with my "moyrals" oppinion.

Why? I didn't see "Make me a man" but from what I was told it was very good, giving light to a subject that people don't like talking about and don't know much about.

As for Moyles being a good role model, I do remember a few months ago him talking about virginity and addressing teenage girls about sex. He was being serious but doing it in a jokey sort of way. He was saying to be like Will and himself who were in steady relationships when they lost there virginity rather than Dave who was drunk and had a one night stand, and told girls not to be pressered into sex. "If he keeps on pestering you, a good kick in the knackers normally does the trick" is one qoute that stood out and made laugh. All this was done over the soppy sad music he uses and he was obviously short of material but it worked, I'm a 16 year old girl and it stuck in my mind, mainly cos it was said in a non-lecturing way and moved away from the "teenage sex is bad, we must all be very solemn" attitude. Anyway, theres my rant of the week.
