well my mate has a 2002 corsa and he has changed the cd player in his but he is an electrical engineer so i dont know how easy it is to do but it can be done. as you say its quite moulded into the centre console and his new cd player was smaller than the original so he had to get some plastic cover thing from some sextons (portsmouth equivalent to west coast customs)
