Hi there,

I'm new here, so apologies if this is posted in the wrong place - but, does anyone have the new Radio 1 Newsbeat jingles? I have the old funky Radio 1 jingles that are part of the Chris Moyles soundpack, but would really like the new jingles that have been in use since the start of this year.

Its like asking - why do people want a copy of the Bo Selecta Video? Simple - maybe they like it?

Is it too hard for you to realise that the newsbeat bed is a piece of music and people may like to listen to it again and again or even practise maybe doing the news. Whats sad about that? Its only like people downloading the jingles from the sound vault, that Chris Moyles uses.

If you don't get why people want these - why not ask them?

Still sittting and reading the news to yourself over the radio1 newsbeat bed is sad.

A bit practise doesn't do any harm. Its sad if you tell people you do it - but everyone has different interests.

Why do people have to give a reason for asking for the Newsbeat Bed or whatever Matt F was asking for? Its up to them what they do in their spare time.

Plane spotting is okay. Train and Bus spotting is not okay.

Just to put everyone's mind at ease, I am not the next Georgina Bowman in waiting, nor am I going to use the jingle to continually practice the news over. In actual fact, I'm part of a student radio station who are revamping their news show. It was my brief to collect some different news jingles, see which ones we liked, see why they worked well (or not as the case may be), and examine how they were incorporated into the actual stories, etc.
