Such a shame for Nintendo IMO that they are being played out of the market by Microsof and Sony that they have to result to "gimicks" like this and the DS

Wouldn't say they are being played out of the market. I wouldn't call them "gimmicks" either, they are trying something new. If you've played a DS, Wario Ware Touched in particular, you will realise just how class it is. Also, I've just been looking at some screenshots of Quake 4, looks amazing.

Well, in Game and other specialist video game shops, floorspace dedicated to Gamecube is extremply minimal - and casual games retailers like Asda and WHSmith seem to have dropped it all together.

I have played a DS - Wario Ware to be precise, and while it works for that game, I don't think it's the ideal form for all games.

The lack of floorspace and sales over here is no doubt because of the fact that Nintendo are absolutely shite at advertising stuff here, and only seem to care about the gamers in Japan.

Anyone bought or played a PSP yet? My mate has been trying to get hold of one for about a week, despite the fact that I've told him they are sold out everywhere he just won't listen, the fool.

yup, nintendo are great at new ideas and innovation but appaling at marketing their products over here. a lot of their games are for kids though.

nintendo intentionally tries to make all of their games available for kids as well as adults, which is why they won't license games like GTA. even their games that appeal to kids are well cool. i was addicted to animal crossing for most of last year, paper mario, mario tennis, zelda, pikmin, and so on, are all class.

the psp is good, but too pricey. the ds is meh, but when animal crossing is released fo it, i'm getting one.

i loved mario tennis and mario party. zelda is obviously quality and they had goldeneye for the n64 as well but they only have like 2 or 3 good games for each console.

nintendo should do ok with the revolution because it is being priced alot lower than the xbox360 and ps3 and remember u can still play all gamecube on the revolution and the gamecube gamepad will work as well :)

The PSP is worse. The only reason stopping me from buying one is the fact that there are no decent games out just now. The only decent one on the horizon is GTA, the rest of the games are just lazy PS2 ports which I would rather play on my big TV than squint at them on a little screen. I'll be buying a DS when I get paid.
