Both are MPEG-4 video (also known as DivX) with MP3 audio in AVI format

Okay I've done some research... As a little background, every AVI has
a four-character code, actually called the fourcc, that tells players
what codec it's using.

The fourcc that these videos are reporting is FMP4, which is
divx-compatible, but hardly recognized by any players or codecs.

http://www.free-codecs.com/AVI_FourCC_C ... wnload.htm

allows you to change the fourcc code of an AVI.

Download it, extract it to a folder, go to that folder and run AVIC.EXE

click the folder icon, open the AVI. Change both boxes from FMP4 to
DX50 and it will play through your media players using the DiVX;-)
codec (available at http://www.divx.com)
