I'm bored so I am looking at funny quotes on the internet from various tv programmes. Currently on the Simpsons. Feel free to post some.

Homer: From now on, there are three ways to do things: the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way.
Bart: Isn't that just the wrong way?
Homer: Yeah, but faster!

Homer: Marge? Since I'm not talking to Lisa, would you please ask her to pass me the syrup?
Marge: Dear, please pass your father the syrup, Lisa.
Lisa: Bart, tell Dad I will only pass the syrup if it won't be used on any meat product.
Bart: You dunkin' your sausages in that syrup homeboy?
Homer: Marge, tell Bart I just want to drink a nice glass of syrup like I do every morning.
Marge: Tell him yourself, you're ignoring Lisa, not Bart.
Homer: Bart, thank your mother for pointing that out.
Marge: Homer, you're not not-talking to me and secondly I heard what you said.
Homer: Lisa, tell your mother to get off my case.
Bart: Uhhh, dad, Lisa's the one you're not talking to.
Homer: Bart, go to your room.

Rimmer: You are a total, total... a word is yet to be invented to describe how totally whatever-it-is you are, but you are one. And a total, total one at that.
Holly: All right, keep your hair on.
Rimmer: I'm lucky if I can keep my legs on with you in charge.

Classic one from The Office...

Rowan: "Gareth, quick trust exercise, ultimate fantasy?"
Gareth: "Hmm?"
David: "We’re just doing the ultimate fantasy, we’re all doing it" Gareth: "Two lesbians probably, sisters. I’m just watching"
Rowan: "OK. Erm. Tim? Do you have one?"
Tim: "I’d never thought I’d say this, but can I hear more from Gareth please?"

I've never seen Family Guy, and I must confess, I don't even know what it is.

at first if you lie the simpsons you would feel it was a bit of a rip off of it, but then you realise its very funny. some sillyness a la simpsons but a few more adult jokes as well.

Enterprise wasn't cancelled, they chose to end it, but yes it's great to have Family Guy brought back, again.

The network originally cancelled it after series 3, but gave it one more series. That series got some of the highest ratings the networks had in a while from all I hear yet it still wasn't renewed? Just because they knew it was ending and wrote the final episode with that in mind doesn't mean it wasn't cancelled.

A Typical Family Guy episode (from the latest series anyway):

Brian: I wouldn't go out to the shop again Peter. Remember what happened last time?

[5 minute flashback, which is funny at first, but feels drawn out towards the end]

Peter: Oh yeah. Wouldn't want to end up like [Insert Z-List American celebrity we have never heard of]

I don't think I'd like it.

But then, I thought that about the Simpsons.

That's just the worst bits about it.

When it's class, it is really funny, but those drawbacks mean it will never be as good as the simpsons. At least not to us non americans anyway

It's Malcolm in the Middle that I remember being advertised as 'better than the simpsons' I found it a big disappointment, funny, but not to the same level as the Simpsons.

Nothing has ever been advertised as being 'better the simpsons' because you will never win. Malcolm was advertised as 'as close to a live action simpsons as you will ever get', which is a more accurate claim anyway, I'd say, in terms of the family dynamic rather than the many layered satire that the Simpsons had in the early days
