my favorite manics covers are either Out of Time, a Chris Farlowe classic, or the Manics version of Take The Skinheads Bowling, originally done by Camper Van Beethoven I think.

That's not a bad idea actually. Get regular contributers to post their favourite songs and make it into an album.

Gaspode - you don't need an MP3 player, I just got windows media player to develop a random playlist based on all the music files on my computer.

Well then you MUST get The Holy Bible. The best album ever, but granted probably the most depressing too. The lyrics on it are just unbeatable (see http://www.manics.nl).
