I have a freeview USB stick connected to my machine, which I can then use to record the show in 192kps stereo. It comes out as a video file, but I can use Cool Edit to grab to audio from it.

Almost certainly yes.

However it wouldn't be so easy to proove you were watching tv if the tv man came round cause you could easily unplug a usb stick... however we should all pay our tv liscense. £126.50 a year is worth it, even just for Radio 1.

iMP is the Intergrated Media Player from the BBC. It's on limited trial at the moment.

It allows you to download any content the bcc has broadcast over the last 7 days.
