Coloured.
I have some that flash on and off at different times to each other. Cool and dangerous, straight from China.

Depends on the surroundings. If you're talking lights in the street coloured goes well... On a tree white is better with baubles that match.

White. Our town centre is lit up with white lights this year, I think it looks pretty good actually. I will take a picture later and post it.

In Chelsea, they have blue. It looks very impressive on the trees etc.

In Guildford, they have a mixture. However mainly white.

if you have lights on the outside of your house it should be legal to throw stones at them.

I like white. It seems more minimalist.

In Yeovil they have a mixture, but the best are the blue ones on trees, they look very impressive.
There are so many lights on outside of houses now, and quite a few are way over done, I hate seeing houses with tons of lights, but completely random, for instance, one in Yeovil has 7 santas....... theres only ONE, fools!.
One I have seen recently (cant remember where - Bristol way??) which has the garden like a santas grotto, with elves looking to the roof of the house, and santa flying away (fixed on the roof) it's mostly blue red and white, and all runs in sequence, Brilliant!

Our towns had lights for the first time in 5 years, and the traditional late-night evening celebrations were brought back.

Woh!
