You can pick up an old Xbox for £80 with bits and after 'altering' it its the best media center i have ever had.

Connect to it with my FTP program and send AVI's, pics, MP3's onto it.

I'll keep it for a while yet.

xbox is better but the ps2 has the better games.

The X Box is a better machine in many respects, But remeber that you CAN get HDD's for the PS2, however the PS2 was out 1st so it already built up a fan base, as it was new. The X Box came along to get Microsofts foot in the door. although as a PS2 owner, i am the 1st to admit that the graphics on my mates X box are better, and we play Halo & H2 all the time.

However the Nintindo Game cube ...what were they thinking, espcially with the sucsess of the N64, that was a great piece of kit, even if it was cart based, but what were they thinkinf with the game cube i would be ashamed if i was head of Ninetendo, but obvously he (or she) liked it cos it wouldnt have been launched otherwise

Yeah, because the design of the machine means the games that come out on it will be total w*nk. Graphically its better than a PS2. I don't mind the controllers on it, they are better than the original massive xbox ones.

I love the gamecube controllers, they just sort of fit in your hand, thats my opinion anyway, the only thing that bugs me is the badly positioned Z button, but anyway, what I think the problem with the gamecube, and most Nintendo products is that they just cant seem to shake off their "kiddy" image that most people seem to associate it with. The PS3 and Xbox 360 just will natrually have that "coolness" about it because they target audience is specifically for teenage/older players rather than the gamecube which seems to be more for the family. I have nothing against the gamecube though being Nintendo fan.

I also like the gamecube controller, and the z button isn't too bad, although I do sometimes hit it instead of R which is a pain. I liked where z was on the N64 controller, underneath, that was a good position, almost like a gun trigger.

I have just seen the Xbox 360 for the first time . It looks really cool but i just wouldnt ever use it. Used to love playing Superleague on the PS2

The N64 controller is the best ever. The Xbox 360 controller is a huge improvement on the shat original Xbox one.

I threw my n64 with goldeneye a couple of years ago.

goldeneye was awesome. we used to spend days playing multiplyaer games.

we used to have proximity mines and a few small pistols, i would always lay traps with the mines by putting them on the ammo and the vests. or put them on the ceilings so people cant see them. was well funny when you didnt see one and suddenly you explode.
