It seems such a rude thing to do though, like she's done something wrong, or I've done something wrong.

I can handle seeing her at work, it's in social situations when I clam up.

That's definitely the most fun sounding solution so far.

Come to Scotland Sidla. We're a smoke free country in public places as from yesterday.

And the temperature seems to have risen by about 10 degrees in 1 day.

Scotlands nice, a lot of the foreign guys that come across love us Scottish girls. Just don't come to Shetland, it's freezing. Plus there are like 6 men to every one female out on the town... I think.

Scotland is a nice place to live apart from the climate. Prices are lower, the people are friendly and certainly in Glasgow the social life is pretty good. Plus its not too far away from home so you're friends can come for weekends.

Have we sold you yet Sidla?

Surely that depends on where your home is and which part of Scotland you move to

I have a friend who goes to Uni in Aberdeen but lives near Bournemouth, not too close to home for him/us to visit.

He can drive or take the bus/train. It wouldn't be terribly expensive. I used to take the train to Newcastle most weekends and it was only £35 return.

My Dad had to fly to Aberdeen this morning. The smoke-free bit doesn't appeal to me Betti.

Yeah, but not regularly. I know planes can be cheap, but not that bloody cheap, especially factoring in the student element.

Ooh Dickie, is your friend in first year? Most people that come that far would be living in halls near me.

When I was a student I prob had more disposable income than I do now. If they wanted to come and see Sidla in Aberdeen enough I'm sure they could.

Developments last night. I just can't stay away from my favourite pub even if she does happen to be in there, so I went last night. I managed to avoid her all night, until she and her mate Kim (the one that likes teasing me) decided to play pool (free pool on Monday nights). Anyway, somehow Kim managed to talk me into (or more like told me I had to) play the winner. Predictably this ended up being Louise, even though I was sure Kim had won, but I wasn't really paying attention. The game lasted ages because neither of us are very good, but because I was playing with her it meant that I had to be around her mates too. It felt really good because they were talking to me and stuff, and it was like they want to accept me as one of them. Kim even asked me if I want to go to Alton Towers with them (it is open to all staff, but it still felt nice to be invited in person, in the past she would have (jokingly) told me that I'm not coming).

I don't really know why Kim has started being so nice to me, but I'm not complaining.
