Do Radio 1 not listen to people. Do they not know by looking at their own messageboards that we are sick of Ja Rule and Jennifer Lopez. We are sick of the same songs being played over and over again. So what do they do, they axe the Evening Session. John Peel must have accumulated dozens of pics of bosses leaning up against livestock to keep his slot. The Evening Session was Indie Music. BBC have launched 1XTRA yet still we get the pap played on Radio 1. No wonder Radio 2 are getting far more listeners.
What is the point of the Rock Show at Midnight. Im in bed at midnight like the majority of people so would it not be wiser to put the Blue Room there and move the Rock Show to 10pm. The Evening Session will run until December and Lamacq Live will still happen on Mondays but this means a free 2 hour slot for Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

the evening session is one of the better radio1 shows.
the only three i intentionnally listen to are Mark And Lard, Chris Moyles, and the evening session. i listen to the breakfast show when going to school, ut only so sarah cox's shrill voice can keep me awake

thats a bad move for the station IMO.....unless theyre launching a rock devoted station soon

It's a shame, but I agree with Bob, they should move the Rock Show to 10pm.

It is a shame that the show has been axed, as i always enjoyed listening to it, at work (i work shifts ) or at home as there was always a good selection of music be it the chemical brothers or coldplay etc etc and i will miss steve lurpacks tone (err....lovely knockers) if they did movce the rock show there would be space for another show, perhaps u radio DJ's on the board should be sending your CV's to fill the spot!!!!

maybe goodier owns the rights to it- he did after all invent it. but it had its day and maybe a revamp will make it better....

radio 1 is mostly crap an its been that way for ages. radio two plays better music and has djs funnier and riskier than radio 1.....

i'd rather listen to terry christian an tony horne on century fm

Whiley is trying to be "trendy" she play what is percieved to be "trendy" and fails to conect with the wider demographics of the audience

Jo whiley has been getting on my nerves for ages now, i used to listen to her show alot, but i just find her annoying now!!

They've got to replace it with a similar programme otherwise they won't be holding up there end of the licence fee bargin.One could do a lot worse than a return of the old Radcliffe/Hobbs format-good music with comedy,guests,reviews etc.Whatever happens I'll steak my trousers that the new presenter is a girlie...
