Now that was madness.

On my bike on my way to work I always enjoy it when Scott Mills is on, especially his "revelations" feature, but Coxy just irritates me now.

By the way Jimmy... where do you get those faces...? I really like them.

Isn't listening to a personal stereo on a bike/in a car/etc. illegal?

OK, illegal, no (maybe), but stupid, dangerous, and inconsiderate, yes!

For another example of freedom of speech ban, look at teletext. Planet Sound on Channel 4 page 452 has letters almost taking up all 10 pages plus on page 453 they name Radio 1 as chumps of the week. Go over to Page 561 on BBC text and music views and absolutely nothing, just people saying Miss Dynamite is good because she is beautiful and dynamic!!!

yeah, I think it's fair to say that the beeb is...err.."selective" in it's use of published material. It's swings and roundabouts though, cos if you were to look at the latest news of Channel 4 and it's financial crisis on the BBC, there would be heaps of information that probably wouldn't be included on the channel 4 teletext news.

Lamacq should just walk out now and see what happens, make the buggers who axed it heartbeats rise. Personally I think they should AXE Radio 1 and put 6 Music on 99.7fm if they could possibly do that.

I can't bloody believe they're axing the Evening Session.

Sara Cox loses 700,000 listeners over a year and she's awarded a new contract... Evening Session gets 100,000 new listeners and is axed.

What the * is going on.

Read in a magazine article about Whiley that she only gets to choose four records a day to play on her show. The rest is playlisted. Don't judge her musical taste until you give her free reign of the whole show.

The moment digital radio becomes affordable enough for me to have a personal portable DAB radio, Radio 1 will lose a listener and 6music will gain one. - jc
