Neither really. He suggested it, and the ITV2 audience all cheered. He didnt say he wouldnt, though. I wouldnt hold your breath over it, mind.

Oe more question for Aled to shine some light on what's the deal with From London to Berlin by Infernal. Is this now Radio 1's official World Cup song (like some dodgy Norwich night club flyer said) and is it going to get any air play?

I'm gutted. I along with everyone around me thought he could make it to the end. Not looking forward to tomorrow morning's show now.

How is he Aled?

I bet he will be really cut up about it...

Absolutely fine actually.

No, we don't have any official World Cup song. And not because of the wrong Mirror story. The Embrace World Cup song is playlisted.

Aled, you told everyone to keep Grace in BB this week, so you can interview her next week because you'll be back from Germany for the weekend. Why are you coming back? I presume it's not just for the press conference, unless the BB Aled slot is seen as so important that it's worth flying you over and back the odd Friday night. Much as I would agree with that view, I doubt the BBC would unfortunately :) Btw well done on the Sezer interview. Arrogant gits like him are the reason you and your tough questions are so badly needed, so I really do hope you get your hands on Grace too!

but then again, that doesnt contain the word 'england' which is what all the hoohaa is about isnt it? didnt really pay much attention. the majority of the people behind radio 1 are english or will want england to do well so let them play england songs!

Here is a really good question for you Aled!! lol! Why do you think chris changed places with Matt inbetween the break of the XtraFactor with ben!? Do you think his comments were too much for the producers!?

Aled, was it youwho did the voice-over for the viewers comp to New York during the x-factor?

Me and the missus have been arguing like hell over it, I agree with her that a couple of the pronunciations? of some of the words did sound a bit like you, but 95% was done in a "national" accent. So I say it isnt you cos your accent is too welsh.

I'm not sure if you're right about Radio 1. I'd imagine (without any actualy evidence) that in proportion to the UK the Nations outside of England are very well represented in the station.

yeah, obviously there will be a lot of scottish and welsh and n.irish people working for R1, but surely the likes of colin, edith and yourself will want england to do well?

Exactly so keep her in. Last nights show was a perfect example, she went round everyone telling a total different story to each stirring things up, then acting as the peace keeper making herself look the good guy. Keep the interesting ones in for once. It is a gameshow now, not a social experiment, so let the ones who are playing the game good stay in.

Sezer should have stayed in aswell. It'll be boring when they all get along.

Hi Aled,

Are the hand overs from Jk + Joel to Chris and then from Chris to Jo done in the same studio or do the shows alternate between studios. Like today Chris was talking to JK who was 'next door' is that another studio or just a prep room?

Cheers

Good Luck with your 1 mile swimathon Aled! I hope having all of those other people in the pool with you doesn't hamper your chances of completing the effort. I'm sure you'll achieve your goal!

Are you nervous about the whole Sports Relief thing? It seems like it's going to be quite a big event, if you're inviting about 70 other swimmers. Won't you feel you'll be under a lot of pressure to complete it, if you're looking for lots of sponsorship? I've been swimming ever since I can remember, but I know I would still find it quite difficult to swim a mile without stopping. I think it's very brave/foolhardy to attempt this feat when you've just learned to swim! I don't mean to put you off, I'm sure you'll succeed, just gets lots of practise in while in Germany. Between that and all the trampette/medicine ball/dumbells action you might end up looking fitter than some of the footballers by the time you come home :)

Aled, in the chrismoyles.net sweepstakes, you have: South Korea

Secondly, with Tash moving to across the office - are you going to be getting a new AP/ BA anytime soon ?

Unless a track comes along organically from the show, no, it's all in house this year.

No, you're right having that many swimmers won't be easy. We've now decided that having lots of people in my lane will make it very hard for me as there's a lot of scope for something to go wrong and ruin it, so for that reason we've decided to keep my lane to just me and my teacher.

Yes, there is a lot of pressure. A hell of a lot. But then, to go from your first swimming stroke to a mile in 7 months isn't easy so I'll need a lot of motivation to complete it. That kind of pressure is what I'll probably need. I'm up to 600metres now. Only a 1,000 more to go!

Great! Thank you.

Jocelin's coming to work on days with me as she's been promoted to the show's newest role: Assistant Producer.

We will have a another new role called Unit Assistant who will be based outside the studio at all times and they'll be on a rota.
