UK: Manics..although half said..muse
USA: Foo Fighters

now we are still arguing on about this.....what is your opinions?

Now Ash were mentioned but they have gone downhill a bit since "Nu-clear Sounds" so a bit erm.....i dont know......

Best UK: Oasis
Best US: Hmm, Foo's are definitely up there, but so are so many others. I'll go with Foo's though, they are great.

Although I did just remember Weezer. What a band. Definitely deserve a mention.


I'm hoping the new stuff Ash do (after the Greatest Hits/B Sides collection) is going to be a return to more Nu-Clear Sounds stuff, but I doubt it, since they made their fans with 1977 & Free All Angels & the poppy stuff, as long as they don't go more poppy...

I didnt like NuClear Sounds and altho the critics liked it, the buying public didnt. They will just do the more in the vein of Free All Angels I suspect.

First stuff was good, went a bit downhill since.

OASIS:

When they were a "classic rock act" when they first came out, some of their stuff was decent. I really don't like them now. It seems they've come back expecting to be this huge act and to continue as a music legend, but I don't think they are or deserve to be.

My Opinion:

BEST US: Either Foo Fighters or Red Hot Chili Peppers
BEST UK: Hmmm...tricky one. Maybe Muse

ah, doves and green day - never thought of them. Still don't think I'll change my mind though. Nickleback are quite good, although their stuff get's overplayed which jsut ends up annoying people (like How You Remind Me - good song, but played wwwwaaaaayyyyyy too much).

the best uk band for me at the moment has to be coldplay. i have a strange aversion to american bands i just realised the only american album i have is californication....... so i choose red hot chilli peppers

Definately to the Red Hot Chilly Peppers, over the last 10 years you've had spurts of greatness in Nirvana, System of a Down and Green Day but for pure longetivity and great music i say the Chilly Peppers
