Chris butts in the last song of Mark and Lards show and asks when they want to fade the Badly Drawn Boy song. Radcliffe asks Chris how his holiday was and says hes a bit snotty today. Radcliffe also asks if he received the photo he sent down that was taken in Crewe. The topic goes away onto the football and Chris mentions Leeds winning after a long time and Mark talks about how Man City will beat Crewe tonight. Mark says that he loves Crewe. Chris says he loves Crewe more. Mark says that he has loved Crewe longer than Chris has. Chris retorts back that that's only because hes 18 months older. Mark thanks Chris on his compliment and says more like 18 years as he is 43 and they have made a jingle with Kylie saying he is 43 so hes not ashamed of his age. Chris says Mark is the only DJ to up his own age and Mark comments on how a lot of Radio 1 DJ are older than they say they are, mentioning jokingly Steve Lamacq is near pension age.
Anyway on to the Moyles Show. They talk about the Family Mahone gig they went to last year which Chris was compering. This was what the photograph was about that Mark sent down. Chris mentions Will Young and say they received the same usual emails saying that he offended gays by straight people, and they say they were surprisingly inundated with emails saying that he was offensive about Rik Waller. He got an abusive letter with a lot of F and B's. The jist was that he was saying that fat kids will get picked on because of what Moyles said. Chris says that the people must have been really bored for two weeks if they were writing these emails. No Chris, not Emma B was really interesting, at no point did I want to go to the studio and stab her for boring the nation. Chris says that its now hip to train as he has made it so popular. He says that he has no sympathy for fat people. They are fat for one reason and that is they eat too much. Chris talks about how a woman looked at him strangely at the weekend. Dave quips if he was at the opticians.
Chris talks about how the Shakira record sounds like Incantation and their song Sound of the Andes (number 12 in December 1982). Chris says that the end also sounds like a beginning of a kung fu movie and they play the kung fu sounds which for any geek wanting to know is from the start of the Ash song Kung Fu. Chris asks Dave what he did last night and he responded that he just went home and watched Steve's funeral on Eastenders and how Phil Mitchell poured his ashes over his mothers grave. Chris said he would want his ashes in the place that he loves and adores. Outside his local AbraKebabra. Chris is appalled that Sara Cox won an award for Best Radio Personality of the Year and then goes from hate to kiss ass as he congratulates her. They are definitely going to Jay Kays house after the birthday phone call two weeks ago.
Another great Guess Who! from Will. It was Zoë Ball. They argue about her age. Her actual age is 32 by the way but they say she is over 30. Kinder comments that she looks buff as she is doing yoga. She was having a coffee with a friend. Will spoke to her for 5 minutes. Dave asks to phone her but Chris says she wouldnt answer her phone which she didnt. They have Ben on the phone who went with his girlfriend to Paris for a romantic weekend and they play a guess who with him. It turned out to be former Beatle Paul McCartney. They have a quick SportsTalk wherein Will predicts a 3-0 win for Arsenal and has trouble pronouncing Panathanikos. Chris has a game of Guess Who Louis Theroux makes a documentary about next week. It is infact Keith Harris and duck Orville, 80's childrens favourites. After this they played a remixed version of the classic I Wish I Could Fly which comes out next monday up against Gareth Gates. Next up was a letter from Mr DAZ and a copy of the new collaboration with a band called The Blaggers called 15 pints which goes to the tune of the late 60's number 1, Hi Ho Silver Lining. They play half of the record and Chris says that if you are at a wedding party and Hi Ho comes on, piss everyone off by singing the different lyrics. Chris mentions that during the Alicia Keys song, Will let out a huge smelly loud fart. They recieve a voucher from a Chris at Harry Ramsdens in Leeds for money off a meal. They also received promotional bags of Walkers new range of crisp flavours. These were Cheese and Branston Pickle, Tomato Ketchup and Marmite flavour. Chris says that he cant stand Marmite and that even the whiff of it makes him want to puke. Dave likes Marmite and has eaten one of the bags. Chris says that he prefers Sandwich spread that he used to get for school sandwiches. Dave remembers that when his mother had run out of ham, she would put crab paste on his sandwiches which was disgusting. Chris also comments on how people sprinkle parmesan cheese over there meals and says it smells like poo. Whilst they were talking about this Jon Culshaw was on Richard & Judy promoting his show Dead Ringers doing his Tony Blair and Robbie Williams impressions (17:29pm interview). Chris says that there isnt enough scratching in records anymore. This gets Dave onto the subject of breakdancing. Dave says he was good at it while he was living in Hong Kong and goes on the floor to demonstrate. Dave says that its better if he has lino so that he can spin better. He says that he used to have a piece of lino in his schoolbag just in case he had the urge. Chris trails tonights programmes and says that At Home With The Braithwaites is on tonight at 9pm on ITV1. He says thats it not a patch on Footballers Wives. Dave and Will thought that he was about to say the F-word but covered it up by saying fairly instead. Chris trails The Rock Show tonight at midnight with Mary Anne Hobbs featuring LostProphets and Marilyn Manson on the phone.
