S Club - Alive, Truth Hurts - Addictive, Nirvana - You Know Your Right NEWS Christina Aguilera - Dirrty, PPK - Resurrection, Alice Martineau - If I Fall, Nelly & Kelly - Dilemma, U2 - The Fly, Sugababes - Stronger, Dannii Minogue - Put The Needle On It
It was a Fame Academy dominated show as the 3 students performed their number 1 for the listeners to vote.
Ainslie - She by Charles Asnavor - A bit ropey in parts and with a scottish accent it doesnt really work.
Sinead - Dont Speak by No Doubt - A pub singers version, out of the all she picked the song that best suited her vocals.
Lemar - Everything I Do by Bryan Adams - Like everyone else with ears, I cant stand this song. Im sure that Bryan does too. This was passable version but he could have picked something more suited to his voice.
My Guess would be Lemar to win. The winner was announced as Sinead with 48% of the vote.
Chris was treated to a cooked dinner last night by his girlfriend Sophie. She cooked him Fajitas and he did the usual thing of checking the bins to see if she ordered it from a take away but he saw no evidence. She followed this up with some posh Ice Cream and made him tea. Chris is a bit suspicious that she wants him to cook a meal for her. Chris claimed that he can only do Beans on Toast or Pasta because his grill doesnt work. Dave suggested Soup with French Bread.
Will was back on the show today but I didnt hear much from him but maybe he spoke before half 4. Chris thought that Aled was turning into a bit of an obsessive with Reality TV shows and whispered about him with Dave then realised the stupidity of whispering whilst 6 million people can still hear them. Chris was a bit peeved that he didnt get a voiceover fee because his voice will be heard on Fame Academy. Chris managed to plug his TV show quite sneakily when speaking to the students at 5:40pm. Daves reason for picking The Fly by U2 was that it was the record that knocked Bryan Adams off the top spot in 1991. All of this weeks Tedious Links will be Number Ones. Does this mean that we will once again hear the cacophany of Doop by Doop? Lets hope not!
DAVES TEDIOUS LINK
Ice Ice Baby - Ice is what Eskimos use to build igloos - An igloo is a type of house - House Arrest was a 1987 hit for Krush - Crush and Grape are words you would associate with Stu Francis - Stu shares his surname with Trevor Francis - Trevor Francis manages Crystal Palace - Crystal Palace are known as the Eagles - The Eagles were the band that launched the career of Don Henley - Henley regatta is a famous boat race for Toffs - Toffs rhymes with Hoffs - Susannah Hoffs fronted the Bangles - The Bangles were made up of girls - Girls drink wine - Wine bottles are sealed with a cork - Corks are used on the end of hats for Australian bushmen to guard off flies - Which links us to U2 and The Fly
