The major talking point of yesterdays show was of course the debate on whether or not Dido gets out of the bath for a pee. Edith Bowman was Radio 1’s red carpet reporter last night at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Edinburgh. Being the sophisticated lady she is, Edith managed to grab Dido and ask her about peeing in the bath live on Dave Pearce’s show. Pearce made Chris laugh (he played the clip) because only Edith could hear him in her headphones and while she was asking Dido all the boring questions he was egging Edith on to ask about peeing in the bath. Chris was right as Dido doesn’t by the way. She said that was gross but the shower was a different matter. Dave couldn’t believe Edith asked her although Edith did apologise for the question in advance. Edith also managed to talk to Justin Timberlake and ask him if he had a pet name for his trousersnake. Justin said ‘Big Jim and the twins’ which Chris found ironic as his is Little Jim and the twins.
More EMA’s chat as Dave and Chris watched last nights ceremony this morning on Chris’s Sky Plus. Chris said he thought ‘the Edinburgh crowd did Scotland and if I can be cheeky and jump on the bandwagon - the UK proud last night’. Dave said the Darkness were great last night. I didn’t see them but I heard from my mate that they were crap. What I did see (which unnoticed by Chris and Dave) was some awful miming by Kylie.
Chris talked about the spat between Christina Aguilera and Kelly Osbourne who apparently hate each others guts and were slagging each other off last night. If you don’t know who’s side to take then do what I do and hate them both. Chris said they should just have a naked jelly wrasslin fight with all the money going to charity. No thanks but id vomit if I saw Kelly naked.
Chris talked about Christina last night. He said he knew he’d be accused of sexism but she really has got a lovely set of cans. Dave agreed she was looking foxy last night but said one pink outfit made her look like a drugged up teletubbie. Old Producer Ben was at the awards last night and was in amongst all the celebs at Edinburgh airport this morning. Chris urged all the acts from last night who are still in the UK to come and visit him, especially Justin. He asked if he remembered their time together in Sheffield with KFC. Dave - ‘it was finger lickin good’. Aled didn’t
see any of the awards last night as he was out clubbing. Chris said ‘what...seals?’ but quickly took it back to avoid getting in trouble.
Vernon Kay was on the phone to Coxy this morning after being on Chris’s show yesterday. Chris said he was a bit peed off by it. Not the fact Vernon was on Sara’s show, but the fact that he was on by himself whereas Chris had to put up with June Sar-ping-pong. The Bo Selecta Michael Jackson was at the awards last night and Chris played the audio of him. He cut it after ‘Shamone mother fu..’ and went in to a trail. Chris came back after the next record saying someone had told him Andy Parfitt had spilt hot coffee all over his desk at that point.
Chris played Busted and said was a great interview with them on Little Friends on E4 the other night. Chris has coincidentally been sent the entire first series of Little Friends on DVD, which he said will keep him busy this weekend. Chris wanted to talk about the Prince Charles thing that he’s not aloud to talk about, after the news with Georgina. She sounded nervous as Chris tried to talk about how he finds it bizarre that the thing they are not allowed to say has been denied, but they can’t say what it is.
He said it was like the dum-dum-dum bit at the end of EastEnders. Paddy O’Connell from Celebdaq was on. He apologised for being rubbish last week and vowed to be better today. He was but let’s face it after last time it wasn’t too hard. Paddy advised Chris to splash his daq cash on Charles as he got 35,000 column inches in this mornings papers alone. Chris put most of his spare cash into Charles but also in his portfolio he has Beckham, Beyonce, Comedy Dave and Kylie. Dave said it was an all star line up. Dave’s price is still a god damn £1.64 and Chris is £2.50. Chris has made £30,000 from Kylie this week.

Paddy: ‘ahh, Kylie Minogue. She’s not just very rich, she spreads it
around Moylesy’.
Chris: ‘Well I like a girl who spreads.....her wealth around’.

Chris plugged a new feature on Lamacq Live for Megan. It is at 11.15 every Monday with Briggie and is called Pop Bitchin. A bit of a bizarre feature for Lamacq if you ask me but there we go. The promo Chris read out said Pop Bitch is dead and they’ve uncovered another site with such good gossip on, that all the journalists are begging for passwords to get on. Chris said ‘Do you know I must admit there are many Internet websites where I’m begging for the passwords’. Aled said he had them.
Chris said they were probably different sites to the ones he was talking about. Dave received news during the show that Jonathan Pearce was going to be unable to talk about football with them after 5 as he wouldn’t be back from Bucharest in time. (He was commentating on the Liverpool match for Channel 5 last night). Dave said it was the same old excuses from Jonathan each week - ‘this Bucharest excuse comes up all the time’. Talking about this got Chris on to talking about Leeds. He said that when he plays FIFA 2004 on the X Box Leeds are actually very good. Dave said that was because he had transferred Thierry Henry to Leeds. Chris said that was FIFA 2003 and he also had Beckham for the free kicks as well.
Chris decided to turn Aleds microphone off for the rest of the show because he said it would increase the listenership. Chris had the Afternoon Sound at 4:40 because at the usual spot would be Ray Stubbs in the Friday football slot. The sound was of Thunder. A lot of people thought it was the sound of Rik Wallers upset stomach.
Stuart from Stevenage sitting on the layby correctly guessed and got 25p. He said he might spend it on a car or a house.
Tim texted to say that if they keep fineing Mark Viduka they will get the 80 million back easy. Someone emailed in to say that the Radio 1 Afternoon sound was is a crap weak sad unfunny feature which degrades Radio 1 to being as pathetic as the local tosh. Funny I always thought it was Sara Cox who did that every day.
Ladies away, Chris will play... though all the rest of the team said they were busy and had flimsy excuses although Dave said that he could come round to his house but his wife would be there too.
Aled said that his kind of pub cared about how you looked and that Chris needed to moisturise. Chris said that Aled had stubble last night which suited him and made him look like a man but he shaved it off. Aled said he appreciated it but he was not ready to become a man yet.
Stubbs joined again as a supersub. Stubbs was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans with the old loafer type shoes, a modern style guru. Chris had green Nikes on with a yellow stripe... old skool.
Stubbs talked about the Leeds problem. He said that they chased the dream and it all went horribly wrong. He said that Viduka is a good player but the bottom line is that he should be in the team. The bottom 3 are all on 8 points and 3 straight wins would put them in the top half. Viduka will leave definitely in January said Stubbs. Chris said that he should play his socks off and his price would go up. Surely thats what Leeds want and not what Mark does.
Stubbs sat on the fence and said that Man Utd and Liverpool would be a draw. He said that Arsenal would win against Spurs, Chelsea and Newcastle a draw and that the Wolves Birmingham match would be a draw too.
Sunday is FA Cup 1st Round proper and live on BBC1 will be Huddersfield against Accrington Stanley. Stubbs said that the team should pick a non league team each to cheer on. Chris picked Shildon, Dave picked Boreham Wood and Aled picked Salisbury whilst Stubbs is gunning for Accrington. Chris asked why Stubbs wasnt on last week on Footie Focus and it was because he was holed down at the darts.

* Linda Barker advertises for Curry's, not Comet - included in the 500 texts was Scott Mills. He asked if there was a prize. Chris said it was a date with Aled. Chris called her a sexy moneygrabbing woman.

Salisbury City Lee texted in to say that they heard that Aled was supporting them.
