Today we were informed about the U2 competition that’s taking place. Chris Moyles (saviour) Jo Whiley (mid-morning yapper) and Zane Lowe (in new music we trust) are all joining forces to go over to Dublin and broadcast a one-off intimate U2 gig at their Dublin studios. Chris and the team will be broadcasting the breakfast show from Dublin the following morning. Chris, Jo and Zane are all allowed one guest each to go over with them. This is where we come in – the listener has the chance to win one of these places. WARNING: You must be an avid U2 fan to enter.
Chances to win will start on the breakfast show this Friday…

Chris comments that when she was on radio 1 some years previously, he became in awe of her sexy voice… Gwen is that impressed she asks where to dispose of her gum… Chris tries explaining where Leeds is from London… Chris always thought she was much taller… apparently she is only 5ft 6… a ‘little midget’… which is why she likes a big towering man in her life… Chris immediately interjects and tells her he’s a strapping 6ft 6’er… Amongst other things, Gwen discussed in over-long detail the emotion behind her new single and touring the ‘best of’ No Doubt with No Doubt…Chris then opened up the phone lines and Gwen chose which questions she wanted to answer…

Not the best celebrity interview Chris Moyles has ever done, mainly due to the difficulty Elton John has with acting normal. Still, from this morning’s interview we learnt that Elton is an early riser, he is not engaged, he sued The Sun newspaper a few years back and got a front page apology and a million pounds for his troubles… in perfect timing Chris cuts in some realism and says that his girlfriend has text him to ask if they can be invited to one of Elton’s Balls…np pun intended… Elton is currently listening to the Kings of Leon new album, Depeche Mode: Remixes, The Killers, Mylo and Rufus Wainwright amongst other things…Chris commented that his CD buying habits are legendary after the tantrums and tiaras documentary was screened on I.T.V …
Chris said he was impressed whenever anyone played piano and said when he saw Jools Holland on Later… he blew him away… Elton said if Chris let him come round to his house he would do the same…never saw that innuendo coming Elton… Sir John then discussed his Vegas shows and how it’s not just aimed at one audience –
Elton – All you hetro’s, there’s more tits than anything else!
(Everyone laughs)
Elton then decided to keep repeating the word “tits” – I counted. 4 times. He also said “testacle” and “b***ocks”.
And on that bombshell, Chris and the team play their outro and salute a song writing legend (albeit a slightly silly one with a lot of money).
