[Aled]: villa30 - I can only focus on doing the show at the moment - it's more than a full time
job, but tv wil play a big part in it

[ninebob]: My point was that yes, obviously Chris gets what he wants, but what about your
feelings of the way you are made to come across as the "comedy stooge" sometimes. I personally
think you could stand up for yourself more, it might make great radio.
[Aled]: ninebob - I love the show. and i think being the "comedy stooge" helps the show be
even funnier, sometimes I'm the gag, sometimes Chris uses me to get out of a link - I'm happy to do that

of coming out ?
[Aled]: boboff - I was 17 when I had my first bf but looking back I've known I was gay from birth

[ninebob]: How do you get on with Scott Mills either on or off air? Any nights out clubbing?
Would you ever consider working on his show, perhaps in the future?
[Aled]: ninebob - I get on well with Scott, he's a really nice guy, but no, we don't go clubbing

[Q]: Aled, do you think Chris will take Christian O'Connels challenge to go on the weakest link?

[Aled]: glennjpeace - i'd work for whoever Radio 1 wanted me to produce - i'm really liking
fearne and reggie's weekend show

maybes starting out on a weekend or bank holidays. cant be any worse than james king

radio station there is

should aim lower! lol!

[Aled]: bex - yes there is every chance

younger? Especially because of people taking the p*ss eyc
[Aled]: kitedlad yes I used to wish I wasn't gay when I was very young, but I'm very happy with
it now

spot?
[Aled]: nighthawk - NONE of it is scripted. Chris has a running order of items that he needs to
talk about and what time to talk about them, and a music running order telling him what songs to play
but that's it

[glennjpeace]: Aled, if you could bring back any TV show that had been cancelled, what would
it be?
[Aled]: glennjpeace i'd bring bakc dungeons and dragons - LOVED it!

[ninebob]: Do any companies send you freebies and if so what's been the best?
[Aled]: ninebob - yes they do, but being on the BBC technically we're not allowed to accept
them

[bex]: favourite on air moment since working with chris?
[Aled]: bex - when Chris gets into rants (as long as they're not about me) I love them

[Aled]: myt - yes jocelin fits in

[ronant]: what do u think chris and the rest of the team will do after the breakfast show aled? i
[Aled]: ronant - it's WAY to early to think about that. We have a few more years left in us

[mike79w]: what is an average day for aled. ie when you work
[Aled]: mike79w 8:30am - 6pm, get home around 7:30 then check and monitor my personal
site. watch some tv with flatmates / bf then bed

[jamesk]: Aled - what exactly does a day producer do??
[Aled]: jamesk - very long answer to give here but essentiall a show and a daytime producer
work as one getting everything that's needed for the show. Rachel and i constantly hand things back and
forth between us

[Aled]: bex - Music Control on GWR I kind like when I drive home. if it's radio 1 i like Scott

[Aled]: joe boy - we're currently discussing what should happen to the show next year. I love

[Pete]: Hi Aled, Steve Wright has said that Chris will the last famous DJ to leave radio 1 - do
you agree with him or can you see any future Radio 1 DJs achieving the same level of success?
[Aled]: pete - that's a very arse-licky thing to say to Chris!!! No, Radio 1 will outlive us and
there'll be other shows in the future (just not as good)

[sclp]: aled have u seen any of season 3 of lost yet? the first 2 eps are awesome. (i dont
condone illegal downloading in any shape or form)

[Aled]: mike79w no the playout system is very small

Not trying to be rude, but I think some of my questions that Aled definitely answered are not on there, such questions were his favourite tv prog and another

A couple of other people have said that their questions weren't on the transcript. Bearing in mind that this was the supposedly "complete" transcript, as opposed to the "abridged" one, it does look as though the full transcript has also been abridged. Any reason for this?!

Yes, but why then have two transcripts, and call one "full" and one "abridged", if they have BOTH (sorry Boboff) been abridged?

There's only one record of the chat which is that above. The actual chat didn't work in this way, the questions were often asked way before Aled was able to answer them - this made it incredibly difficult to read. The chat was edited so that the questions and answers were placed together.

As things were pretty chaotic with my internet connection I missed a few questions, this is why a couple which Aled did answer were missed out. There were only a couple.

it was so funny and stressfull, he was on ahj.com forum at the same time as the webchat (on the shout box) and he kept telling us that it had crashed and that he was logged in then not. some of us from the forum tried to tell the ppl in the chat room that he was trying to get back on but i bet they thought who the hell are you? lol we tried to reassure Aled that it just shows how popular he is It stressed me out though, it kept crashing and it took ages. I dont know how ppl stayed patient especially Aled lol
