im REALLY getting annoyed with it now - it wrecks posts with its stupid replacement of words, like nstead of "Sh!t" you get "not good" and so on, its crap and takes posts out of context

why is it on in the first place? YES children visit here, but has anyone complained about the language before?

and if they have - tough, they agree in the t&c that the content is not moderated totally, im getting sick and tired of it.

Some words should be censored - like c**t for example...

there's no need to * swear every * sentence you * well write anyway.

I think the swear filter should be off as well.

People only find other ways of writing them, like sh1t and pi55. What's the point?

Why is a swear word bad anyway? Just a word that some geezer has decided should not be used.

i can't see chris taking the swear filter off, evry 1 knows the various things u can do to get the message across anyway - (s p a c e s and d.o.t.s. etc...)

jus leave it how it is...

I mean words like that, gáy theres nothing wrong with that at all. We all know whats meant by the beeps, the stars, the dots so you might as well turn it off.

Who cares about the swear filter it should stay and if you don't like it then hey just don't swear as much and you don't have to worry about it.

As people have already said, I think that some really offensive words should be censored as I'm sure there are kids that visit and it wouldn't be very public-spirited of us to encourage the use of them in their vocabulary.

As for milder words, i think they should be allowed, as they're not toooooo offensive and the little uns will probably already be aware of their meaning and will be using them every couple of minutes during conversations with their friends.

there isnt a mod that would allow a choice of having swear words censored or not?
