It's a referrer thing, just copy and paste the address into a new tab/window and it'll work fine.

1. Open NetTransport, click new on the toolbar.

2. Copy the link corresponding to the date of the show you want to download:

Monday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_mon.ra
Tuesday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_tue.ra
Wednesday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_wed.ra
Thursday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_thu.ra
Friday: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_fri.ra

3. Choose a location to save the file.

Click OK

Then you'll have a .ra file at around 40-50MB which you can play via RealPlayer (or RealAlternative as i've noticed you have Media Player Classic)

If you want to turn it into an MP3 use a free program like this one here.

They vary and don't seem to follow a strict pattern but other people may be able to fill you in on finding out the streams, this is a Moyles fansite so we dont have any others lying about.

I'm fairly certain that there are hundreds of ways to record audio on a Mac, but as I don't have one, I can't really point you to anywhere else other than google.

Edit: By 'recording shows' do you means actually recording a live broadcast, or download the 'Listen Again' stream?

download the listen again show so I can listen to the odd R1 Show on my IPod.

that seems to be working great. However! I go to "open location" paste the rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/moyles_mon.ra link in. Then it seems to be getting down to business but then just stops. It says "buffering" and the whole thig disappears back to the empty player without telling me why...anyone got any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

I assume you're using the GUI, so I suggest that you use the CLI version and see if it gives you any more information.

Is HiDownload a Mac program, because I think it's exclusively for Windows?

When i try and download it on the net transport program it says- Alert: 23;This server is not configured to play the data type you requested. Please contact the Real Server Administrator for assistance.

Any clues on how to fix this?

Save the file and change the .ram to .txt, open it and the url is there. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Look inside the file, it'll tell you. From memory the only thing that file contains in the url for the stream.
