well andorra are about as good as the faroe islands and the fans were foaming at the mouth at half time towards the team/manager so yeah, id say it was bad based on those two things.

Have to agree with tha Ballbag there, it may not be a situation where intelligent conversation is what you are looking for, but personally I need to know it is there if I want it. So that would rule out most footballers I suppose - although I was startled into a real proper double take the other weekend when I heard Cristiano Ronaldo, who was still using an interpreter this time last year, doing an interview in English in which he correctly used the word "polemic". Please, the only thing that has been stopping me making a complete arse of myself over him is my conviction that he must surely be thick as sh**, don't take this away from me now........

This has well pissed me off, how the * did the BBC and Sky not manage to keep the FA Cup rights? ITV's football coverage is abysmal,and thats not including the ad breaks. Also, who the hell actually has Setanta apart from pubs and Rangers/Celtic fans?

This TV deal is drivel, maybe one day they'll go with who does the best coverage rather than the money.

well setanta has about 40 odd premiership matches last season. add on the fa cup and some top golf and the spl, i can see a lot more english people jumping on the setanta bandwagon.
hopefully this will stop adverts on setanta. ppv's shouldnt have adverts!

it's not quite as bad as what's happening with baseball here. the mlb and satellite provider directTV are in talks to make an exclusive deal. that way the only way you could watch baseball on tv would be through directTV. i hope the goverment stops it.

Problem is, that is Sky, by a mile - I think most people would rather have football available free, even if the coverage is as crap as both the BBC and ITV currently are. But its not going to happen.
