Sky instantly have the best coverage of whatever they take over because they invest in it. Prem Plus was terrible though. We shall see with Setanta.

Interesting article on the front of the Independent today (not sure if it was anywhere else) about the decision being politically motivated because the FA didn't like Gary Lineker and Alan Hansen's criticism of the England team during its coverage of their matches.

The BBCs coverage is poor when they start coverage for an 8pm kick off at 7:58pm they aren't really taking it seriously.

Rather that though, never bother to watch any build-up on ITV as there are bloody adverts stuck in the short pre-match build up.

Years ago he was the best there was - because there was hardly any competition. These days he seems to want to be noticed too much - rather than just commentate on what is happening, he keeps trying to squeeze in a load of obviously pre-meditated comments into his commentary, he is concentrating more on what he wants to say than what is actually happening on the pitch. He misses shedloads of stuff, including the point, most of the time.

Twice it has been Man Utd fans now though in France and Italy. I'm not suggesting that they were to blame but there clearly needs to be issues addressed.

when scotland played italy in bari, the police voluntarily removed their riot gear during their game.
and celtic were applauded out of the san siro by the police and milan fans after the champions league match.
