Hi,

I was wondering if someone could tell me how I can get these sound clips into my iTunes folder or how I save them on my computer please.

I've tred 'save target as' and it didn't seem to work.

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all

There's a bug in IE that causes the filename to come up wrong when you 'Save Target As...", to fix this you'll need to rename the file to something with a '.mp3' ending, like 'cool-clip.mp3' (without the quotes).

Hi Console.

Thank you for replying to me.

I think that I must be doing something wrong. I saved it as you said but when I click on it to play nothing happens.

Would you know what I am doing wrong? I'm a bit thick when it comes to computers lol!

What filename does it have before you rename it?

May i suggest using Firefox instead of IE, i found that any problems i had with IE were gone as soon as i used firefox, and my downloads come down a heck of a lot faster....

I had the same problem as you when i used IE too by the way.

spot the plug for firefox.....

Yes, the problem you're having then is that Windows is hiding the file extension, which also means you cannot change it. To change this, you'll need to open explore (you can do this by opening my computer, or the C drive or something), click on the Tools menu and click on Folder Options. A new window should option and there should be a View tab at the top, click on it and it will present a list of options. One of these options is one that says 'Hide extensions on know file types' and it is probably checked; uncheck it and press OK. You should now be able to rename the file and it's extension (which is probably .php).

I've done what you suggested yet the same thing happens. I've saved the file in my documents but when I click on it to listen to it, it doesn't play for some reason.

Tres bizarre!

Have you renamed the file since you changed the settings? It still needs to end with .mp3 for it to play.
