While its not anyones place to tell anyone else what to do - its still the decent thing to do to an extent.

Drinking to "forget" is never a good idea. Although I have been there myself to this is probably hypocritical.

Just keep an eye on it S4B.

Yes I have been there, it's v straight and American, long blocks of buildings which all look the same. I drove there every day for 2 months and I got lost every day trying to find the carpark

Toph, no actually no, I went to Lavendon for a meeting last year, and the place was absolutely idilic, and lovely, and charming.

I have no basis for my comments other that the usual sterotypical comments of the ignorant, and as such I apologise.

So Toph in an Aled stylie, tell us all about it

I've been as close as Milton Keynes Coachway or whatver it's called by the M1. I daren't venture any further.

Alanna is not half bad.

Ah yes, Milton Keynes Coachway. Not really been there a lot lately, as I have a car, but they do a blinding greasy fry up.

It's built on a grid, which some people don't like, but you can't really go wrong - if you think you should have gone right at the last roundabout, just go right at the next one instead!

Lavendon is quite a nice village, I used to live in an equally nice village on the border (actually I would say nicer).

By the way I take no offence for 'stereotypical' comments - you can label it what you like.

Lavendon is a lovely village. My cousin got married there, as they live nearby in Olney. Do they still have that cinema in Milton Keynes called the point or Pyramid or something? Thats what i remeber about MK more than anything else. It's red neon lit up the sky.

Yep. He works on the stage tech crew. Why?

Ah the Point - they do, but it's been overshadowed in the size stakes by Xscape and the Wheel (which we have for six months of the year, as it's shared with Windsor). The Point always has at least two neon lights out.

Olney is near where I work, it's about a 10 minute drive from here in good ol' Newport Pagnell. Our MD lives in Petsoe End, which is opposite Emberton, which is next to Olney.

Newport Pagnell services. Now that's a fun place. Someone once told me there was a maggot vending machine there - for anglers i suppose. Never found it though.

I don't know about that, I don't tend to use the services, as when I get close to them I'm nearly home. The other thing Newport Pagnell is famous for is Aston Martins.... you didn't mention that though, did you.

I've been to MK many times, and I've never seen so many mini roundabouts in one place. Its almost as bad as the amount of speed cameras on the A40 to Chepstow (There are 9 on a 24 mile stretch of road If I remember
