99% convinced a macbook is a better investment than a Dell laptop or similar.

Any of you own a mac, worth that little bit extra?? Opinions please.

Hello.
I've been using a Mac for the last 10 years, so I can help.

1st question - what would you use the Mac for?

How do you intend to use it ?

What degree of interaction with others will you anticipate?

Do you have long hair ?

have you ever even considered wearing red braces ?

The thing is, now Apple ship computers with Intel Chips, you can run Window's on them (using Bootcamp or something similar) so the differences you'd have between a Mac and a PC say 5 years ago no longer really apply, I mean Yea they look the dogs, and you can run windows on them but you can't run OS in a PC (Actually, you probably can now its all intel and your clever enough...)

But they are very exspensive

Its interesting that the only bit of this post I recognised as intelligible English is the word "exspensive", and that is mis-typed. I am so glad to be married to an IT professional and not have to know this stuff myself!

The man is a legend, and a real Mac fan, he's written 2 books on the advantages of Mac's over other types of rain coat.

On top of basic stuff, maintaining a website & audio editing. Maybe some photo editing too. If I need to, I can run windows in parallel - just love the appearance of the macs!!

No, she likes men with long hair I imagine.

It baffles me why someone would think "Hmm, I need to know something about a Mac, I know, I'll ask that Chris Moyles forum that I very rarely post on."

Dunno. Boboff was the one who wanted to know about long hair, maybe it's his stereotype. The men I know with long hair are not really hippies, they are metalheads. But we're wandering off the point now. On topic, after my experiences with ipods I wouldn't touch a Mac.

I rarely have anything to say that would interest you,so rather than sit through abuse, I just browse :D Having said that, I believe Moyles is Mac, so semi relevant...

I've had issues wiht ipods too,but they do a good job when it comes to suport. You get through quick & talk to someone you can understand, at a decent volume, no "sorry! I cant hear you!"

Thats the point at which I usually yell something like "take that bloody thing off your head and talk to me through a handset you fool"....just as I remember that insulting the person I am asking for help may well be counter-productive. Eh, DemonHorse?!
