we did that on our school field. what a waste of an hour.

we went round Blackburn for our GCSE course work and had to rate various squares on a map for litter and housing and rubbish. We just got a few groups together and did a few each so we could sit down and do nothing instead.

We had to decide our own project for Geography coursework. I couldn't think of anything but my mum suggested doing the effect of living in a small village outside a city (well new city). I got an A for it but the only thing I didn't make up was the population of the village, which I rang the council for.

I just had that too, it's better once it's done but it's hard to tell them (if it's something you're ashamed of like what I am.)

Mine is that I maxed my credit card and missed a couple of payments, hence our difficulty in getting a decent mortgage. As I've said before, it's not that that annoys me so much as the fact I've let Mrs Topher down.

I know but I'm not bothered about telling people - I am ashamed but I don't have anything to hide. Kinda sorted now, we have a better mortgage than we first thought we would have to get.

i had bad credit troubles about 7 years ago. i keep worrying it will screw me when i try to get a mortgage. the saving grace is that mr kendra k has amazing credit and should have a good job when the time comes. (if he ever graduates.... grrr....)

We had a cold caller at the door last night, trying to get Mum to swop Gas and electric suppliers. I was upstairs at the time and I could hear the conversation. Well he caught my interest when he asked Mum if she'd be interested to swop to his 'Cheaper' service and Mum said she was quite happy with who she was with at the moment. He replied, quite abruptly with "Well, can I ask why your quite happy to pay more for your gas?" Anyway, I carried on, and Mum was trying to finish the conversation to see to her Pork Chops in the Oven, But noo.. The chap kept talking, quite rude at times, offering her M&S vouchers for swopping over and asking "Why?" when Mum said she didn't shop at M&S...
Anyways, Mum was trying to explain that she really had to see to the oven and He Interupted her to tell her about services charges, so I went downstairs and stood behind her. After the 3rd interuption on his part, the conversation went thusly -

Me - "I'm sorry mate, she said No."
Silence for 5 seconds...
Gasman (The wonder idiot) - "I know, I'm just getting some Feedba...."
Me - "But you keep interupting her"
Gasman - "But I'm just.."
Me - "I'm sorry mate but your wasting your time and I think your being quite rude, go try someone else"
Silence... He Glares at me
Gasman - "well, thank you for your time"
Door closes.

Mum Turns around to me and say's "well there was no need for that..." an walks off. She did later thank me for sticking up for her though. My sister (first time ever) turned to me and gave me the thumbs up though.

Yea, I know he was just doing his Job etc, but there are unacceptable ways to go about it in my opinion.

That annoyed me Yesterday.

Well done Zoot, excellent work.
As for your Mum, she probably needs a bit more practice.

My intolerance of foreign call centers is now so bad that if they have a bad accent I ask them to keep repeating themselves ala Little Britain "what she say" after a while I ask they put me through to someone who can speak English, they get really annoyed !

This is the trouble when people are on commission, most salesmen are the same, pushy and bolshy and quite often blatant liars. They will try anything to get a sale.

The worst ones are estate agents, absolute scum of the earth. My mum's other half knows a bloke who was an estate agent and some of the stunts they tried to get a sale... you'd apparently have a young couple, first time buyers (bit like me at the moment) in there crapping themselves, working out whether they wanted to buy the house they had just viewed and to get a snap decision, they'd get an estate agent in the next room to ring their extension and pretend to be another interested party. So, you're a first time buyer, trying to decide whether to buy this house, biggest decision of your life and (you think) you may be about to be beaten to it by someone else... what are you going to do? Scumbags.

Whats annoying me today is that I am not well and I won't be able to go to work until next week at the earliest, and even though the required procedure for reporting this is that I telephone my lne manager to inform her, I don't know where she is and I really don't want to just leave a message in her voicemail. That, and I feel really ill.
